A review of Lone Wolf Three : the search for [foreign sysmbols of a sort]

my next video will be an LP of a rather strange "catholic/christian" FPS game. no, not super 3d noahs ark, this one is called called lone wolf three, and for a game that is supposedly about god it doesnt apear to reference it much. its a game which has you travel through 5 uninspired worlds (grass, evil, stone, desert, ice, a fighting six uninspired skeletal looking supposedly demonic enemie types, using a suprisingly inspired arsenal of almost 31 guns both real and made up (wrong priority on his part, but appreciated). What this game lacks in detail it makes up for in huge ass worlds and (I beleive) a bit of a decent spore like map generation involement. its too bad you move so damn slow you cant explore any of it. The graphics are clean, smoth, and reflective. The downside of this is that because the models are great and the textures are bad it reminds me of the stock 3d models you get with programs like maya, super3drad, and FPSmaker. In other words, its like getting killed by clipart. Still, its beutiful by the standards of its original release date.

Overall, its not doom 1, 2, and especially not 3. It seems like it tries to be something its not, and thats scary. The lack of ammo and "goddamn bats!" set of enemies would feel great in a ruined hospital or an abandoned town, heck any generic horror setting. but the happy go lucky green fields, deserts, pine forests, cliffs, and then the underwhelming rendition of hell (no lava or fire, just red fog as far as I know. then again, I can only last about 2 minutes in underworld) which should be scary as hell (pun intended) ruin any chance of it being scary and make those features frusterating because ammo is rare, and theres no melee or infinite side arm (And you cant outrun the enemies either). For an exploration game (At least in levels like grassland and iceland) its good and its fun to trek across the huge plains into a skeleton infested church town or temple. But for an FPS, its lukewarm. I have to give the guy credit since he aparently built it up from the ground up though. by indie game standards, its ok.

3 of the 4 generic skeletal enemies. I hate the fourth one with a passion,
and I dont think it deserves a screenshot.

Possible new zombie game

left4dead2 is awesome, and so is courage the cowardly dog. anyone else remember that 1990s cartoon? I have yet to be as scared by any horror movie (not counting "Shrooms") and any game with the exception of those godamned black headcrabs in HL2 than when I watched the mask episode as a kid.

recently I found that clip on youtube, then played some l4d2 with a clan member. the idea hatched. why not combine "28 days later" with a cartoony feel and give it the best immitation of the l4d2 director possible? I''ll tell you if this works out or not.

Well, it has begun.

After ditching wetpaint (free site service) after being chased away by a friend-turned-powerhungry-mod , I needed a place to post the games Ive made. whats more, I needed a blog. over the course of whatever, I'll post the following things simply for the enjoyment of the readers. I make no money off of any of this.

1. LP videos: In my quest for good free games I wade through more crap than mike rowe from dirty jobs. I review most of this stuff if its bad enough to warrant a review.
2. My games: I make these in my spare time, and they are usually better than most you'd find on addicting games.
3. movies: these are mostly crap, but are fun to make.
4. Wallpapers 'n graphics 'n such: I have all the skill of a low wage graphic artist, which means I'll post some interesting stuff: like how to make a genetically accurate photo of a crotch out of literally nothing but a photo joeseph bidens face, and using only the mirror over line tool. (it was discovered by accident)
